SMU held on to defeat the UTEP Miners by a score of 35-31. It took as stop on 4th and goal for the Miners, but the win made the Mustangs bowl eligible and has them sitting atop the West of Conference USA.

SMU v. Rice

November 7, 2009 – It was Homecoming at SMU as the Mustangs took on the Rice Owls. SMU took at early lead but were soon down to the winless Owls. It wasn’t until Sterling Moore blocked a Rice field goal attempt and Bryan McCann returned it for a touchdown on the last play of the first half that SMU would take the lead for good. It wasn’t easy, but the Mustangs were able to hold out for a 31-28 win. Next week the Mustangs face the UTEP Miners, and a victory will make the Mustangs bowl eligible!

Battle for the Iron Skillet – SMU v. TCU

October 3, 2009 – Fort Worth, Texas – SMU travelled to Fort Worth to take on the 11th ranked TCU Horned Frogs in the annual battle for the Iron Skillet. In a rain soaked game, SMU forced three first half turnovers and scored the first touchdown of the game to take a 7-0 lead, but then TCU scored 25 unanswered points to put the game out of reach. The final score was TCU 39- SMU 14.

DALLAS COWBOYS v. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

I was lucky enough to get to shoot my first Dallas Cowboys game at the new Cowboys Stadium on Saturday, August 29, 2009. I put on my red NFL vest and made my way to the sideline to shoot my first NFL game. I got there early to get some shots of warmups and the five hours I was down on the field absolutely flew by. The Cowboys lost the game, but it was a great experience.
